NARRATIVE

Upon arrival LPA was met by Teacher, Dulce Giron until the Director, Liliana Martinez arrived to continue the inspection. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures, individuals present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Facility was observed to be adhering to local public health guidelines. The following was observed during this visit. At 12:55 PM LPA Green began inspection of the preschool program. This preschool consists of 2 classrooms named Aqua Room and Fuego Room. LPA observed there to be 4 preschoolers napping in the Aqua Room with 1 staff member. LPA observed 6 preschoolers in the outdoor play area with 2 staff members. Teacher-child ratios were observed, and staff names were recorded. All children were observed by licensing staff to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures, Director states that parents drop off and pick up will be conducted outside of the facility. Children are signed in electronically by parents upon entry to their designated classroom. Per Director, parents conduct prescreening prior to arrival and staff conduct pre-screening prior to accepting children. Licensing staff observed the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The children's restrooms are located in the Fuego. There is drinking water available via water cooler each. At this time, the Director's Office is used as an isolation area. Parents are contacted immediately when children are determined to be ill and staff are ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness are not being accepted. Report Continues Page 1 of 3.

The facility provides AM and PM snack. Lunch is provided by the parents. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are stored in an area inaccessible to children. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. The licensee takes measures to keep the facility free of flies, other insects and rodents.

Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition as is free of hazards. Areas around and/or under climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb a fall.

Facility uses application Google form for electronic Sign in and out. Director made print out available for review to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. Staff Records were reviewed to ensure that a health screening report is on file. Children’s Records were reviewed to ensure that Identification and Emergency form and a medical assessment are on file. Criminal Records Clearance for adults and verification of CPR/First Aid and health preventative practices documentation was reviewed.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. Per Director, there are no children enrolled that require IMS. At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today.
