room are used as isolation areas. Parents are contacted immediately when children are determined to be ill and staff are ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness are not being accepted.

Menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and PM snack. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. All food is protected from contamination, and LPAs inspected that any contaminated food is discarded immediately. In the classrooms children bring water bottles which can be filled with a filtered water dispenser. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight fitting covers on and are in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children are stored in an area inaccessible to children. Director states that there are no poisons stored at the facility.

At 9:50 am LPA’s observed that there are operable carbon monoxide detectors in the facility. Per YMCA management, the smoke detectors were serviced on 7/13/22.

The facility has 1 yard that is fully fenced. LPAs observed spider webs on play toys, a tricycle with missing pedals and a big wheel with cracks and a hole on the steering wheel. LPAs also observed an empty water container in the outdoor area where students were playing. Per director the container is usually filled and is used for drinking water for children. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard.

Sign in and out sheets were reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. Staff Records and Children’s Records were
