Based on child#1’s interview no disclosures were made.
Based on staff#6 interview, on 10/16/19 while children were outside on outdoor playarea, child#1 had very bad diarrhea accident, child#1 had underwear on and watery diarrhea was dripping all over the child#1’s leg and shoes. Per staff#1, child#1’s leg and shoes were washed and cleaned outside with hose water that is outside and child#1 was held and brought inside. Staff#1 changed child#1’s clothes inside, and parent of child#1 was informed. Per staff #6, child#1 did not cry or scream while staff#1 was washing and clearing with water outside.
Based of staff#5 interview, on 10/16/19 staff #6 washed child#1’s leg and shoes outside with water to be able to bring the child#1 inside after very bad diarrhea accident. Otherwise, there are changing diaper designated areas in each infant classrooms and toddlers have changing diaper area in their bathroom. Per staff#5, no child(ren) has been changed and/or undressed outside.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation “Staff used inappropriate diaper cleaning method on day care child” did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated at this time.
Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
Exit interview conducted with Varduhi Hareyan, Licensee and Syuzanna Jerejyan, Director, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role. A copy of this report and all other Licensing reports must be made available to the public for 3 years.
