25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 11/30/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 1:30PM and met with Licensee, Gloria Felix, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was S2. Per Licensee, there are 10 children that are currently enrolled. There were 3 children present upon arrival. LPA observed 3 additional children arriving for care at 2:35 PM.
This is a one story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, a garage, front yard fenced and backyard. An additional off limits living area is located on the same property and is occupied by the licensee's son and daughter-in-law. The living area is made inaccessible by a locked door and wooden fence. The off limit areas include two bedrooms, one bathroom, back yard area, garage, and additional living area.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed age appropriate toys, a locked fire place, wall mounted television, two couches, and coffee table. Per licensee, she provides food for the children in care. LPA observed a dining table and chairs in the dining area. The cabinet beneath the kitchen sink was observed with child locks and contained cleaning products. No sharp or pointy objects were observed to be accessible in the kitchen area. Bedroom 1 has been converted to be used for care. LPA observed additional toys, child sized table, child sized chairs, and art supplies. The master bedroom was observed with two Graco playpens, bedroom furniture, a bed, and a locked fireplace. The bathroom designated for children in care was observed to be sanitary with an operable sink and toilet. A child lock was observed beneath the bathroom sink making the contents inaccessible. The outdoor play area is located in the front of the home and shares space with a 2nd home occupied by the licensee's son and daughter-in-law. Perimeter fencing, age appropriate toys and outdoor play equipment were observed in the outdoor play area. Per licensee, isolation area for children showing signs of illness will be located in bedroom 1. LPA did not observe the following (page 1 of 3) |
