25 | An announced Increase in capacity site inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Cynthia Reyes and Steven Rodriguez to inspect and measure the new Toddler space for capacity increase determination. This center was previously licensed for 17 Infants and 13 Toddlers. Applicant/Licensee is seeking to provide care for 33 Toddlers and the infants capacity will remain the same at 17 infants only. Licensing staff met with site Director, Kimberly Nguyen, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. The Infant and Toddler Option will operate from Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Parents enter from a gate located on the Cul-de-sac street of Dillerdale. The sign in and out book is located at the entrance of each class room.
The new toddler classroom was toured during this Inspection and measurements taken as it was previously used by the preschool license (F# 191597316) and has moved to another building next door (Puente Ave Preschool at 14045 Dillerdale Ave). The Directors office will be used as the ill/isolation area. (Waiver Submitted) Ill children will use the Toddler classroom restroom located right next to the directors office. The rest room has 2 toilets and 2 sinks. One (1) Toilet and 1 Sink will be used for the ill child. A cot is available for Ill children to rest if needed in the directors office.
There is a fully equipped first aid kit available on site. There are smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector on site that meets statutory requirements. Heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated.
Measurements were taken of the outdoor toddler play area. Capacity determination allows for 37 Toddlers.
Fire clearance was received and approved for 17 Infants and 33 Toddlers for total capacity of 50.
Based on measurements taken today an additional 13 can be added to the 13 toddlers already approved for a total allowed of 26 Toddlers. 17 Infant capacity stays the same. Total of 43.
