An annual/random inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares. LPA met with Stacy Greener, Education Manager, and Blanca Lopez, Education Coordinator, who guided LPA with a tour of the facility. The facility operates both a Full Day and Head Start program. There were a total of 47 children and 7 staff in the classrooms.

The Full Day program operates 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The Head Start program has both a morning and afternoon session (8:15-3:45). The ill/isolation area will be in the director's office/foyer which is a small room adjacent to the office. The staff restroom located near the kitchen can be used by ill children. There are 3 classrooms: Room 1 & 2 for Full Day and one room for Head Start. Children's restrooms are located in the hall.

Classrooms were observed to be well ventilated and well equipped with plenty of lighting. Cots are provided for napping. Napping equipment will be washed weekly or as needed by Options staff. The classrooms and facility were observed to be clean and pest free. Facility has smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in the classrooms. LPA tested the detector in office and found it to be operational. LPA observed drinking water in form of water fountains in each classroom.

The facility has a kitchen were all meals and snacks are prepared on site. There is sufficient storage for food and refrigerators and counters were observed to be clean and orderly. Menus were observed posted in the kitchen and in classrooms. Required postings are located in each classroom and in the hall near the office.



The outdoor activity area is fully fenced. The playground has required shading. There is age appropriate play equipment and toys in the playground. There is proper cushioning material under climbing structures. There are water fountains outside, but staff also bring out a water jug and cups for children to use.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213)must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
