An unannounced Annual Random Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) A. Lucero. LPA met with Assistant Sandra Avila as licensee was unavailable at the initial start of the inspection. LPA was taken on a guided tour of the home of both indoors and outdoors by assistant. Licensee arrived at 2:12pm to conclude inspection with LPA. This is a single story, four bedroom, two bathroom home. Currently residing in the home are two adults (Licensee and fiance) and two minors. Present at the time of inspection was licensee's two assistants.
Upon LPA's arrival to the facility, LPA observed 13 children in care with two assistants. Through records review, LPA determined that four of the children were under two years of age (infants) and nine were of preschool age. No more than three infants are cared for during any time when more than 12 children are being cared for. LPA also observed child #1 and #2 asleep in individual cribs and were observed to be too big for the cribs. Children are to receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment. Photo obtained.
Per Applicant, the following areas will be used for day-care: Family area that has been converted into a day care, one bathroom located in day care area, one bedroom that has been converted into a day care play space, and back yard.
Per Applicant, Off-limits areas include: Three bedrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen, and one bathroom located near the three bedrooms, and detached garage.
Licensee states that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. LPA did not observe swimming pools or spas on the premises. The backyard is adequately fenced. There are age appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. The smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are present in the facility. |
