25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 05/03/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 01:05 PM and met with Licensee, Leslie Lopez, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 6 children (2 infants) napping. Per Licensee, there are six children that are currently enrolled. At 2:00 PM, LPA observed assistant S2 arriving
This is a two story condo which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, and a backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and the kitchen/dining area. Per licensee, children only access the kitchen to enter the backyard play area.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed required postings, a wall mounted television, cubby storage lockers for children's personal belongings, 2 Graco play pens, a wall mounted infant changing table, child sized tables, child sized chairs, age appropriate toys and materials. The bathroom designated for children in care was observed to be clean and free of defects. LPA observed a child safety gate at the entrance of the stair way and the entrance to the off limits kitchen/dining area. The outdoor play is located in the backyard and was observed to have perimeter fencing. Additional toys and outdoor play equipment were observed in the back yard. A fence was also observed covering the wooden electrical pole located on the property. The licensee states that she provides food for children in care. Per licensee, isolation area for children showing signs of illness will be located in the backyard play area. LPA did not observe the following items during the inspection: Infant Walkers, Johnny Jumpers, Saucer Chairs. No bodies of water were observed in the back yard play area. There are no pets on the premises.
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed (page 1 of 3) |
