25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 05/25/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:00 PM and met with licensee, Jasmin Garcia, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection was an assistant,A2 and A3. Per Licensee, there are 15 children that are currently enrolled. There were 13 children present upon arrival. During the inspection, LPA observed children leaving at 2:30PM, 2:45PM and 3:45PM
This is a one-story home which consists of four bedrooms,three bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, a detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include one bedroom, two bathrooms, detached garage and front yard.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed a leather couch, child sized table and child sized chairs, a wall mounted television and a locked fire place. A pull down fire alarm was observed at the entrance of the home. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License were also observed to be posted in the main care area. The Dining area was observed to have a dining table with chairs, and four Graco feeding high chairs. A child rocker was also observed in the dining area. Licensee states rocker is only used to get infant to sleep and then they are transferred to a crib. LPA did not observed any sharp objects accessible to children in care in the kitchen area. All cabinets and drawers were observed to have child locks making contents inaccessible. Licensee states that she provides food for children in care. The bathroom designated for children in care was observed to be clean and free of defects. A baby changing station was observed to be mounted to the wall of the bathroom. Bedroom one was observed to have two wooden cribs and a storage area for age appropriate toys and a materials. Upon arrival, LPA observed children in care napping in the room. Bedroom two was observed to have a bunk bed, wall mounted television and a pet dog kept behind a small fence. Per licensee, the room is not off limits, however children in care do not use the room.
