32 | Snack/lunch menus were reviewed. Food and snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care at about 1:35pm. Food preparation areas were toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. On school days, the facility provides an afternoon snack. Per Director, on non-school days, facility provides a breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and and afternoon snack to children in care.
Sign-in and out procedures were reviewed; facility uses a digital sign-in/out application. Staff and Children’s Records were reviewed at about 2:20pm. Criminal Record Clearances were reviewed for adults. CPR/First Aid card provided for Director was issued by the American Heart Association, is valid until 02/21/2022 and states Pediatric First Aid/CPR. Inspection of required forms made.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
