Per Applicant, there are no firearms, ammunition, or weapons present on the premises. Furthermore, there are no bodies of water or spas on the premises. The outdoor play area is a fenced backyard, which is free of hazards.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. After a tour and review of this home and review of records, the following corrections need to be made prior to licensure in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 22 to protect the Health & Safety of child that will be in care:
1. Applicant's brother-in-law who is now living in the home must transfer his criminal record clearance so that he may be associated to facility.
2. Applicant must submit TB clearance for brother-in-law and must be current within one year.
The above corrections must be completed on or before Friday, July 19, 2019 by end of business day. LPA advised Applicant to contact LPA by phone or E-mail to inform LPA that the above corrections have been completed. Once the above items have been corrected, and all application documents approved, the department will make its determination on whether or not to approve the Applicant for a large license.
The following was discussed with the applicant:
Individuals who are 18 years of age or older living in the home must obtain a criminal record clearance. Individuals within one month of their 18th birthday must be fingerprinted immediately. Failure to obtain a criminal record background check clearances prior to initial presence in the home will result in an immediate $100.00 dollar or more per day Civil Penalty.
In the absence of the licensee a qualified adult must be present supervising the children; a qualified adult is an individual who has a valid and current adult/infant CPR & Pediatric First Aid certification and a valid criminal record clearance associated to the facility license.
