25 | On April 16, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Ayala was greeted by licensee, Fay Yeh who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 8 children in care. Per licensee there are 10 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:30PM.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathroom, detached garage that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, sun room, guest house, completely fenced rear yard and front yard. LPA observed a swimming pool in the rear yard behind the detached garage. Per licensee, the garage remains locked at all times. LPA obtained a declaration from the licensee stating that the garage will remain locked at all times while day care children are present. LPA observed the pool gate to open towards the pool and is self latching. The height and spacing of the pool meets Title 22 Regulations. Licensee stated she will fix the gate to open away from the pool.
The day care takes place in living room, family room, bathroom located in the hallway and rear yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 06/11/2025.
