An announced case management inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes to inspect and measure the preschool for capacity increase determination. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken, all individuals present during the inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Licensing staff met with Director Annalise Leach who guided the analyst on a tour of the facility. The preschool program operates from Monday through Friday 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

At 3:30 PM, Licensing staff was guided through a tour of the proposed preschool classrooms. The preschool facility is currently operating and a total of (17) children with (3) staff members were observed during this inspection. Existing classrooms are the Big bungalow (Dragon Flies and Lady bugs) class rooms and the .
small bungalow (Honey Bees) class room. Director is requesting to add (2) additional classrooms (Butter flies and sensational Spider's) located in two rooms next to the Honey Bees class room.

At 3:55 PM, LPA observed (1) sink, (1) urinal and (2) toilets attached to the big bungalow and inside the big bungalow is (2) sinks and a Staff bath room. In the small bungalow is (2) toilets and (2) sinks. In the new butterflies class room is (1) toilet and (1) sink available for children. Total capacity of 90 is for toilets/urinal and total capacity of 90 is for the sinks. Sanitation of the facility inside and out is conducted thoroughly and through out the day.

Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. There are smoke detectors and fire extinguishers located throughout the facility. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures, Director states parents will enter the facility from the back gate of the school parking lot, LPA observed a table outside for sign in/out that is located in front of the small bungalow with hand sanitizer available. Children's temperatures are taken at drop off and parents are not allowed inside the class rooms at this time due to Covid-19 precautionary measures.

At 4: 25 AM, LPA toured the outdoor activity area. Shading was observed to be provided by large trees and canopies. All areas around or under high climbing equipment were observed to have cushion material to absorb a fall. Outdoor play yard Measurements were taken at pre-licensing inspection on 03/13/2019 and was approved for a total capacity of 136 preschool children.

Facility will provide AM and PM snacks. Water will be dispensed from a water cooler and individual, disposable cups will be made available to those children who don't bring their own water cups from home due to COVID-19 precautionary measure. No transportation is being conducted by the facility.

5:30 PM LPA also consulted with the applicant regarding COVID-19 health and safety guidelines on this date. Licensing staff observed COVID- 19 postings posted in different areas of the day care on this date. During this inspection LPA also discussed PIN 20-06 CCP, Social and Physical Distancing Guidance and Healthy Practices for Child Care Facilities in Response to The Global Corona virus (COVID-19) Pandemic Written in Collaboration with The California Department of Education. LPA reviewed with the applicant the Child Care Covid-19 Self-Assessment guide that the applicant will fill out and email to the LPA by 04/19/2021.

Based on measurements obtained today from both indoors and outdoors, capacity for the proposed increase in capacity for the preschool program will be seventy six (76) preschoolers. A fire clearance was received and approved by the Fire Department on 03/15/2021 for capacity requested of 76.



The following correction need to be made prior to submitting application for final approval. Corrections will be due by 04/19/2021.
- Fire extinguisher mounted in class room Sensational Spiders
- Parent Board with all postings visible for parents (outside during covid)
- 6 Ft. markers on the floor in all class rooms
-Latch on shutter door in Sensational Spiders class room
The application will be submitted to be licensed after completion of correction needed. Once licensed, the applicant is required to adhere to the terms and limitations stated on the license
