25 | At 10:35, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez arrived and conducted an unannounced case management inspection in regards to the licensee requesting a capacity increase. LPA met with Gail Clark, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Per Licensee, family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 1 child. Licensee is requesting a large family child care home license. Per Licensee, operation hours will be Monday to Friday, 6:30AM to 6:00PM. Licensee states that she will care for children 0-12 years of age.
At 10:40am, tour began of the whole house with the Licensee. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a two story home that consists of 4 bedrooms, play room, 4 restrooms, living room, day care room (den), kitchen, garage, backyard (two parts), and front yard.
Per applicant, the children will use the restroom near the play room, day care room (den), backyard. Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service (cell phone), ventilation and heating (central). Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible and are kept in the kitchen and are locked.
Based on the Facility Sketch submitted, areas off limits to children and parents are: All of upstairs (bedrooms), living room, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, part of the back yard (where the dog stays), garage, and front yard. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs. All other off- limit area are locked. The applicant understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary. |
