25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raul Navarro conducted an unannounced Annual Required inspection in Spanish. LPA Navarro met with LPA met with Licensee Rosa Iniguez who guided this LPA on a tour of the facility. Also present was Licensee's two assistants (criminal record clearance on file). There were 2 children present during today’s inspection. Licensee states that there are currently 9 children enrolled. At 10:18am during file review, LPA Navarro asked for the children's roster. Licensee was unable to provide LPA with the children's roster. Licensee conducts disaster drills with the children. Last drill conducted on December 2019.
This is a two story home which consists of four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Areas used by the children include the living room, kitchen/dining room, two downstair bedrooms, one downstair bathroom, and backyard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: two bedrooms, one restrooms, back portion of the backyard and detached garage. Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. There is a working telephone maintained in the home. Family members residing in the home are three adults (criminal record clearances on file). There are no pets in the home. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. The Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The Licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock.
Per Licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises. There are safe toys, play equipment and materials observed for children. Emergency Disaster Plan was posted at the time of inspection. Children’s records were reviewed to ensure that each child has an Identification and Emergency form. The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged, last purchased on 04/2019. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in the hallway were tested and are in operable condition.
