25 | An unannounced Annual Random Inspection was conducted on this day by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lucero. Facility is currently licensed for 4 infants and ten toddler children for a total of 14 children. Licensing staff met with Licensee Bridgette Robinson who guided LPA on an indoor and outdoor tour of the facility. The program currently operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
The facility is also applying for an increase of two infant children for a total of six infants and ten toddlers for the maximum capacity of 16. LPA measured the indoor and outdoor for the infant and toddler programs. LPA also measured the play yards for the infant and toddler programs. Based on measurements taken on this day, facility is capable of adding two infants to their program for a capacity of six infants and ten toddlers for a total capacity of 16 children.
At the initial start of the site visit, there is a total census of four infants with one teacher in the infant room and nine toddlers and two teachers in the toddler room. Furniture and equipment was inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Storage for children's belongings was observed. Mat/cot and crib were inspected. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. Toys observed to be clean.
Snack/lunch menus were reviewed. Food and snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. Food preparation areas were toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. Facility provides Breakfast, a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack to children in care.
A first aid kit is kept in each classroom. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are present in the facility but were not tested as children were napping. Fire extinguishers are present in the facility. Hazardous items including poisonous cleaning compounds were stored inaccessible to children. |
