32 | Children will bring their own personal water bottles that can be refilled throughout the day. LPA observed snack and meal menus in the classroom. The kitchen will be used to prepare and cook the food provided to the children. There is a stove, refrigerator, and storage space for supplies. The kitchen was observed to be clean and orderly.
The outdoor playground was inspected and measured. There is age appropriate play equipment in the toddler yard. No hazards or violations were observed. The outdoor space is fenced and separated from the preschool space. There are separate access points and entrances. Drinking water will be provided in form of water jugs and personal water bottles. There is adequate shaded area in the yard.
The toddler classroom measurements can accommodate a capacity of 11 children; the outdoor measurements can accommodate only 8 children. Based on the measurements the facility can only accommodate 8 toddlers. Licensee will request a waiver for shared use of the preschool playground when there are more than 8 toddlers in order to meet the request for a capacity of 11 children. Pending approval of the waiver for the outdoor space, the facility may be granted approval of 11 toddlers bringing their capacity to 41 children. There is a current and valid fire clearance on file with the Department.
Prior to approval of the capacity increase and toddler option, the following must be obtained:
1. Update to admission agreement that mentions permission from authorized representative to place child in toddler program.
2. Approval of waiver for shared use of the preschool playground.
Until the above has been completed, the facility must continue to operate at their current capacity of 30 preschool children. No violations were observed or cited on this inspection date.
Exit interview conducted with Licensee Becky Huang. Copy of this report and appeal rights were provided and explained.
