25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nolan Tcheng conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. At 1:27pm, LPA met with licensee, Wen Bao. Also present during this inspection, is Mei Yu, Co-licensee. The licensee states that she currently has 5 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
This is a two-story home which consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, kitchen, additional kitchen, dining room, back living room used for children play, room used for studying, room designated for napping, front living room (FIREPLACE: in front living room, off limits area of house), three-car garage, front yard and backyard (fenced), and garden. The children use the bathroom in the hallway next to the back living room, back living room, study room, nap room, backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: upstairs (including bedrooms), kitchen, front living room, dining room, garage, front yard, and garden area of backyard. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that 3 adults and 1 children currently live in the home. Persons living in home are identified on the attached LIC811. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
PHYSICAL PLANT
At 1:37pm, LPA was lead on a tour of the facility by the licensee. Upon arrival, LPA was let in the facility from the back sliding door. Front of the house is considered off limits and has a gate to make it inaccessible to children in care. There is a staircase in the front of the house that the safety gate makes inaccessible to children in care. The back sliding door enters into the back living room that is used as a child activity space. There are age appropriate toys and equipment present for children in care.
