32 | LPA did not observe accessible hazards. LPA observed the required 2A 10 BC fire extinguisher was anchored to the wall in the kitchen, it was serviced on 06/08/2020, as read by licensee from the service tag. LPA toured the off limit bedroom (licensee's bedroom), laundry room, and 1 off-limit bathroom, and did not observe accessible hazards. LPA observed licensee keeps the off-limit areas doors locked. At 10:00 am, LPA was toured through the backyard fenced) where children play. LPA did not observe accessible/immediate hazards during the tour of the back yard. The licensee confirmed that there is one child present in the home during this televisit inspection. At 10:10 am, LPA toured the garage (off-limit) and did not observe accessible/immediate hazards during the tour of the garage. At 10:15 am, Licensee also tested the carbon monoxide detector in the daycare room and smoke detector in the hallway of bedrooms. Both sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional.
The licensee was observed to be operating within the licensed capacity and is not exceeding the required limitations at 10:20 am. Licensee has current proof of current pediatric first aid and CPR (expires: 02.2022). At this time licensee is exempt from required mandated reporter training due to language barrier. Per licensee at 10:30 am, there are no pets, weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
INFANT CARE: Licensee states at 10:35 am, that she does care for infants. Any infants in care will stay in the area where the licensee or assistant are. LPA advised the licensee to sleep infants where the infant can be directly supervised and advised against sleeping infants in a separate room. The licensee states that they will not sleep infants in a separate room. LPA reviewed SIDs, Never Shake A Baby, and safe sleeping practices. Infants should sleep mouth up, on their backs, free of clutter surrounding their sleeping space. Safe sleep concepts were provided.
Medication: Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed at 10:40 am, For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417.
