32 | Licensee showed LPA the fire extinguisher was serviced 07/06/2020 as read by LPA from the service tag. LPA observed one Fire Extinguisher was anchored to the wall by the entrance and one Fire Extinguisher was anchored to the wall in the kitchen. Licensee also tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the hallway of bedroom. Both sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. At 12:30 a.m., licensee toured the LPA through the backyard day care area. LPA observed licensee separated the daycare outdoor playarea by fencing and did not observe any hazards. LPA observed the off limit detached converted garage is separated by a gate and fencing and it is inaccessible to the children. Posting requirements were observed to be posted at the time of inspection by the entrance door in the living room.
Per licensee parents enter the facility through the main entrance door which leads to the living room.
Per licensee at 12:50 p.m., there are no pets, weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
The licensee was observed to be operating within the licensed capacity and is not exceeding the required limitations during this inspection. All adults present have obtained a criminal record clearance on Licensing Information System (LIS). The licensee has proof of current pediatric first aid and CPR (expires: 09/2022). Licensee completed required mandated reporter training on 08/03/2019.
At 1:00 p.m., facility roster were reviewed and completed. Per licensee currently there are 9 children enrolled. LPA reviewed four children's files from seven present children, and completed. Also, LPA reviewed licensee's assistants, Araksia Muradyan and Hripsime Galstyan files and both reviewed files were completed.
INFANT CARE: Licensee states at 1:20 p.m, that she does care for infants. Any infants in care will stay in the area where the licensee or assistant are. LPA advised the licensee to sleep infants where the infant can be directly supervised and advised against sleeping infants in a separate room. The licensee states that infants sleep inside the home in one bedroom or living room under direct supervision all the times. LPA reviewed SIDs, Never Shake A Baby, and safe sleeping practices. Infants should sleep mouth up, on their backs, free of clutter surrounding their sleeping space. Safe sleep concepts were provided.
