25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Mora conducted a Prelicensing Inspection on this date. LPA met with Director, Dominic Armendariz. The purpose of this inspection was to follow up on the initial Prelicensing visit conducted on 11/08/2019.
On 11/08/2019 LPA was notified that in order for the preschool children to get to the preschool playground they would have to go through the Kinder Room (Room 140). At the time of visit LPA advised Director that the preschool children will not be able to cross through the Kinder room and another route will be needed prior to being licensed.
The facility now plans to lead children out to the play ground through the main entrance double doors and through the charter school yard. A barrier gate was installed on the sidewalk in the parking lot that is directly outside of the main entrance. The plan is for facility staff to walk in a line through the charter school playground and into the preschool playground gate (photos were obtained). A schedule of daily activities for the charter school and for the preschool was obtained to ensure that preschool children do not pass through the charter school yard while there are children present.
The outdoor area is physically separate from the charter school play ground.
LPA requested that the latch on the gate which leads to the north side parking lot be moved higher so that children are unable to reach the latch. LPA will be sent a photo.
The facility will be approved for a preschool license upon final file review and upon the above correction.
