25 | At 8:45 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Roxana Lopez conducted an unannounced required 1 year inspection to the above facility. A risk assessment was conducted upon entry- appropriate PPE was used. LPA met with Karla Garcia Castillon, Licensee who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. Per Licensee, there are 12 children currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 4 children present upon arrival- 1 being an infant (licensee’s son). Also present during the inspection was CO- Licensee Juan Garcia Castillon.
The licensee states that 2 adults and 3 children currently live in the home. Per Licensee, they do not have any assistants at this time. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed child care home. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 restroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, back house (empty), laundry room, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children have access to living room, dining room, restroom and backyard.
Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, laundry room, back house and part of backyard. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit. LPA observed all off limit areas to be inaccessible to children in care.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via a cellphone that stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection.
