An announced pre-licensing site inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA's) Judy Mora and Michelle Sanchez to inspect and measure facility for capacity determination. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken, individuals present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Facility was observed to be adhering to local public health guidelines. Applicant is seeking to provide care for 120 preschoolers. Licensing staff met with Applicant, Eun Ji Park, who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. The preschool program is located inside a church facility. The front entrance is located on the side on the building.

At 11:00 AM, Licensing staff was guided through a tour of the proposed preschool classrooms. The proposed preschool rooms will be the TK Room, the 2 Year Old Room, the 3 & 4 Year Old Room, and the Kinder Room. LPA's observed 3 sinks and 4 toilets in the 2 Year Old Room and 4 toilets and 3 sinks in the 3 & 4 Year old Room. LPA'a also observed 3 sinks which are accessible to children in the classrooms. The staff restroom is located in a hallway across from the Director's office. All toilets and sinks are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Licensing staff observed children sleeping cots on moveable wheels stored in each classroom. Individual storage space is available for each child; there are cubbies in each classroom. Toys were observed to be clean and safe. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. There are smoke detectors and fire extinguishers located throughout the facility. There will be key pad locks on all classroom doors to prevent any access from church goers.

Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures, Applicant states that parents drop off and pick up will be conducted outside at the front entrance where health screenings will be conducted. Parents will use a Pin number to sign their child in electronically. The isolation area for an ill child will be in the Director’s office area.

Licensing staff was guided through the proposed outdoor activity space. The outdoor area was observed to have a secured fence surrounding the property. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, and slides were observed to have cushion material to absorb a fall. LPA observed sufficient shaded area outdoors.

Facility will provide AM and PM snacks and parents will provide lunch for their child. Children will bring their own Sippy cup for water due to COVID-19 precautionary measure. Pitchers of water will also be available. No transportation is being conducted by the facility. A first aid kit, thermometer and emergency supplies were observed.

Based on measurements obtained today from both indoors and outdoors, capacity for the proposed preschool program will be 100 preschoolers. A fire clearance was received and approved by Los Angeles City Fire Department. The applicant understands capacity determination.

The facility will be approved for a preschool license upon final file review.

An exit interview was conducted with Applicant, Eun Ji Park. This report will be sent to the Applicant via email with a read receipt or confirmation of receipt of the email, which will act as the Applicant's signature.
