Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced required inspection. Upon arrival LPA Lee met with Licensees Jian Chen & Bing Xu. LPA Lee observed that the two licensee's primary language is Cantonese. During the inspection assistance with translation was provided by the Licensee's daughter over the phone. LPA Lee observed 6 children being cared for by the two licensees.

All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected during the inspection. This is a one story home consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 restrooms. living room, classroom(bedroom 4) , kitchen, wash room, garage, front yard, and backyard (fenced).

Areas that are accessible to children are as follows: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, and backyard (fenced). Per Licensee parents/children will enter the facility through the front door and back door.

Areas off limits include: 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, kitchen, garage, wash room and front yard..

During the inspection LPA inspected areas that used by children for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating (central). Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, sharp objects and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible.

During the inspection the Licensee stated that the fire extinguisher observed was purchased in 03/2021. Previous CPR certificate was good until 05/26/2021. The licensee stated the CPR certificate has already been renewed as of 06/2021. The Licensee was advised that the copies of the receipt and new CPR card will need to be emailed to LPA Lee.

The following was advised to the Licensee during the inspection.

Individuals who are 18 years of age or older living/working in the home must obtain a criminal record clearance. Individuals within one month of their 18th birthday must be fingerprinted immediately. Failure to obtain a criminal record background check clearances prior to initial presence in the home will result in an immediate $100.00 dollar or more per day Civil Penalty.


Medication: Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For

IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA advised the Licensee to refer to the latest guidelines from the California Department of Health regarding safe and sanitary practices for family child care homes.

During the inspection. Children files were reviewed for completeness.

No deficiencies were cited at the inspection.

The notice of site inspection must remain posted for a period of 30 days during hours of operation. Failure to maintain posting will result in a civil penalty of $100.00 dollars.
