25 | On 10/20/23, at 8:50 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kruz Long and Veronica Martinez-Garza conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPAs was greeted by licensee Sonia Chavez. LPAs observed 4 infants and 1 toddlers in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Sunday, 6AM to 6PM and 6:30PM to 11PM.
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, attached garage that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, additional room, dining area, kitchen, completely fenced rear yard and front yard.
The day care takes place in the living room, dining room, kitchen, restroom, additional room and rear yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPAs observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working mobile telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR which expires on 04/26/24.
