32 | The proposed preschool classrooms will be called Classroom A (Ages 5 to 6 years), Classroom B (Ages 4 to 5 years), and Classroom C (Ages 3- 4 years). LPAs observed the toddler classrooms to be physically separate from the preschool classrooms. LPA also observed that each classroom has its own entrance to prevent crossing over between classrooms. LPAs observed sleeps mats available in each classroom. Individual storage space was observed available for each child inside the classrooms. Toys were observed to be clean and safe. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. There are smoke detectors and fire extinguishers located throughout the facility. LPAs observed the facility to have 9 toilet and 6 sinks available to children. All toilets and sinks are in safe and sanitary operating conditions.
At 1:55 PM, Licensing staff was guided through the proposed outdoor activity space for toddlers and preschoolers. LPAs observed the toddler yard to be physically separate for the preschool yard. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, and slides were observed to have cushion material to absorb a fall. There is shade provided via a canopy. There is a kitchen on site located next to the waiting area that will provide AM/PM snacks and Lunch for the children in care.
No transportation is being conducted by the facility. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services- IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual- Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226.
