32 | There is a refrigerator available in the kitchen for storing infant formula, bottles, infant food. There is a changing table with cushioning within arm’s length from sink. Per Applicants, Cribs and cots will be designated to each children, sheets and blankets will be washed daily by the parents. Play equipment and materials for infants were inspected for cleanliness and safety. There is a fully equipped first aid kit available in the office. Individual storage space was observed to be available for each child. There is smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector on site that meets statutory requirements. Locking medications cabinets will be located in the office. The isolation area for an ill child will be located in the office.
At 11: 00 AM, LPA was guided though the outdoor play area. There is adequate shade available outdoors via canopy. All areas around play equipment and slides are cushioned with material to absorb a fall. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services- IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual- Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Infant Classroom and Outdoor play area were measured to calculate capacity. Based on measurements taken today, capacity for the proposed Infant program with be eight (8) infants. A recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity of 8 infants.
