32 | Licensing staff was guided through the proposed outdoor activity space for Infants and Toddlers. The toddler program shall be conducted in areas physically separate from those used by older or younger children. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, and slides should have cushion material to absorb a fall. There is shade provided via canopy.
There is a kitchen on site were staff will prepare snacks. Per Site Director, lunch will be provided by an outside vendor called “International”. There is a refrigerator available in the kitchen for storing infant formula, bottles, and infant food.
No transportation is being conducted by the facility. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services- IMS. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual- Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. During this inspection, licensing staff obtained measurements from both indoors and outdoors for the designated Infant and Toddler areas. Based on measurements obtained today, capacity for the proposed Infant program with a Toddler option program will total thirty-two (32) children, allowing for (17) Infants and (15) Toddlers.
A fire clearance has been received and approved by City of Los Angeles. At this time, the facility was observed to be in compliance with Title 22 regulations. A recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity of (32) children. At 1:15 pm, LPA Green conducted an exit interview with Center Director, Ana Sanchez. Page 3 of 3.
