25 | On March 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Monique Ayala conducted a virtual inspection via Zoom Meeting and met with Licensee/Applicant, Diana Sanchez. The inspection was conducted virtually due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The purpose of the inspection was to conduct a follow-up Prelicensing inspection to verify that corrections have been completed as noted within the Facility Evaluation Report (LIC 809), dated March 9, 2021.
LPA was guided on a tour of the inside of facility; Building A and Building B and observed the following corrections:
- A newly constructed staff restroom located inside Building B. Building B is now equipped with a staff restroom that will also be used by children who become ill in care and need to be isolated. LPA also observed the children's restroom in Building B, which consists of 1 toilet and 1 sink.
- Safety gates installed between each classroom, separating each classroom from one another.
- The stove removed from Classroom 3 located in Building A. The stove was replaced in the teacher's lounge located in Building B. Per Licensee/Applicant, the food preparation area is now held in the teacher's lounge.
Based on today's observation, the facility is safe and suitable for the requested capacity of 31 preschool children. Per Licensee, an updated Facility Sketch will be submitted to LPA by March 30, 2021.
At this time, an updated fire clearance is pending for the revised capacity change application.
