Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Juvenal Moctezuma conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection and met with Licensee, Robyn Browne and assistant. LPA explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the home was conducted both inside and outside. LPA observed licensee caring for 8 children whom were all taking naps in the day-care room. One of the 8 children was licensees grandchild who was in a high chair being cared for by licensees husband.

Licensee stated that children only have access to the playroom who was licensees garage but was converted into a playroom. The rest of the house is inaccessible to children in care. Licensee has placed a half door so children don't have access to her laundry room or kitchen area. LPA observed plenty of age appropriate toys, cubbies, books, and small tables and chairs in the play room. LPA also observed that the day-care home was clean and free of toxins. Licensee stated that while she's cooking in the kitchen, she has her assistant stay with the children in the playroom. Licensee stated that she stores her cleaning supplies inside the laundry room which is inaccessible to children in care. The bathroom is located in the playroom and was found clean and free of toxins.

LPA spoke about the safe sleep regulations that will take affect this year with the licensee and reminded her to not store anything inside the cribs and playpens.

Licensee has a 2A10BC fire extinguisher that was last serviced on 05/08/2019. LPA reminded licensee that it needs to be serviced or replaced yearly. Licensees CPR/First Aid certificate is good until 09/15/2020. The last time Licensee conducted the fire/emergency drills with children was on December 31, 2019. The carbon monoxide and smoke detector were tested and found in working condition. 3 children's files were reviewed along with the children's roster and everything was completed and up to date.
