32 | LPA reviewed 1 infant file. Infant Record was reviewed for completeness and inspection of required forms was made. LPA reviewed 2 staff files. The center just opened May 8, 2023, so the infants have not submitted their Physicians report yet LIC 701. Site supervisor understands that these need to be submitted within 30 days of enrollment. Sylvia stated that they will obtain these as soon as possible. Upon reviewing staff files, LPA observed that Staff #2 was missing a TB test and a Mandated Reporter Training certificate. Licensee stated Staff #2 will complete the Mandated Reporter Training on 05/26/23. The rest of the files contain the required transcripts/verification of experience/immunization records, and Health Screening Report. At least one staff has a current CPR and First Aid certification. Site Supervisor understands that there shall be at least one person, with valid CPR and First Aid certifications, on site at all times or present during off-site activities (field trips).
The Site Supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The Site Supervisor states that the facility does administer medication to children. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 requires all Child Care Centers (CCCs) that are in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination by January 1, 2023 and every 5 years thereafter. This facility has provided evidence that their kitchen sink has been tested and has no exceedance.
