25 | On 11/16/2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Juvenal Moctezuma conducted an unannounced Case Management - Other inspection and met with licensee, Maria Cosio and husband. LPA explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the home was conducted.
The Fresno Regional Office received a report stating that on October 30th at approximately 11:00 PM, there was a drive-by shooting outside the licensees home. While bullets did rebound off the outside structure of the home and even entered the home, no one in the home was harmed during the incident. Licensee stated that she had no day-care children at the time of the incident and stated that she did not know she needed to report to licensing. Licensee stated that instead, she called the Madera Police Department. LPA explained to licensee the reporting requirements and explained that even though she doesn't have children, she needs to report them to Child Care Licensing. Licensee stated she understood. LPA toured the home and observed licensee caring for 4 children today and explained that she needs to keep her house clean and free of toxins at all times since LPA observed the house to be cluttered with food items, clothes, and furniture. Licensee understood.
During todays inspection, No deficiencies were cited.
This report was translated in Spanish by LPA Moctezuma
