25 | On 11/8/2024 an unannounced Annual inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Yesenia Fierro. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Socorro Lugo and toured the facility, both indoors and outdoors. The LPA observed all required licensing forms to be posted in a visible location for authorized representatives to view them. A census was taken and there were 11 day care children present. Facility operates August through May and runs a half day program Monday through Friday from 7:30a.m.-1:30p.m.
During today’s inspections LPA observed all licensing forms, menus, and daily schedule are posted in centralized location for parent review. The facility has a complete first aid kit, firearms/weapons or ammunition are not allowed or stored on the premises. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide indicator, that meet statutory requirements. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises.
During today’s inspection LPA observed the age-appropriate toys, dramatic play equipment, a variety of books, puzzles, game boards, writing material, for the use of those in care. Furniture, and equipment are in operating conditions. The facility was observed to be orderly; all toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Materials and surfaces accessible to children were also observed to be clean during the time of the inspection. LPA observed there is adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 (F) degrees or less. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. The facility is free of flies, insects, and rodents. The LPA did not observe disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other dangerous items to be accessible to children. There were no poisons observed on the premises accessible to children. Licensee is aware that poisons are required to be locked and inaccessible to children.
