25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and five day care children. Licensee, her husband, her adult son, her adult daughter and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee's and Licensee’s Assistant’s, Sylvia Chavez CPR and First Aid certification. Licensee’s certification is expired, licensee has a scheduled CPR/First Aid training on July 25, 2019. Licensees' Assistant's certification was completed through Emergency Response for Childcare with EMSA certified stickers and expires on August 1, 2020. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children are background cleared. Fire clearance was granted on July 11, 2019.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on July 11, 2019. Fire alarm is located in the living room #1 (day care room) on the left hand is of the wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, books, sleeping mats, play yards and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall.
- Licensee states she does not have firearms, ammunition, poisons in the home.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
