25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection, Licensee and one day care child who was napping inside a crib. Licensee, her husband, her adult daughter and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid certification was completed through EMS Safety Services, with EMSA certified stickers and expires on 6/17/2021. Licensee’s Assistant will be her Adult Daughter, Brianna Birrueta. Licensee’s Assistant CPR/First Aid certification was completed through EMS Safety with EMSA certified stickers and expires on 6/17/2021. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children are background cleared. Fire clearance was granted on October 28, 2019.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on October 30, 2019. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire alarm.
- LPA observed in the living room (day care room); children size furniture, safe toys and books. LPA also observed a crib, a rocking chair and two infant swings. There is also a flat screen mounted onto the wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are locked inside a shed that is located in the backyard.
