25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Cowan, Schnell, and Kaur met Arleen Uryu, for a random annual inspection. Purpose of the inspection was explained. The facility is located at the Marin County Office of Education Campus. Present, there are 28 children with 5 staff and the director. Facility is operating within the capacity and in compliance with staff child ratio on this day. Facility operates day care from Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
With Program director, LPA inspected the day care areas. There are no pools, spas or other bodies of water at the facility. Facility has smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone at the site. All cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored inaccessible to the children. Facility has age appropriate furniture for children. Furniture is steady and in good repair. Facility floor is in good repair and free of any hazards. All toilets, hand washing facilities are in working condition with proper sanitation in place. All storage containers for solid waste are in good repair and have proper tightly-fitted lid. All materials and surfaces accessible to children appear clean and toxic free. Play yard is free of hazards. All play structures are steady, in good repair, and free of any loose parts. Drinking water is readily available both indoors and out.
