Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Farhan Bashir-Tariq met with Director, Jordan James, to conduct an Annual Inspection on 9/09/19. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present, there were 40 children in care with 3 staff. Facility is operating within the capacity and is following staff child ratio on this day. Facility operates day care from Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and 1:55 PM to 6:50 PM. Facility provides two snacks only. Breakfast can also be provided upon request.
LPA inspected the day care areas with the Director. Per Director, there are no pools, spas or other bodies of water at the facility. Facility has a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher and a working telephone at the site. All of the cleaning solutions, poisons and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children are stored under the classroom sink in a locked cabinet. Facility has age appropriate furniture. All toilets, hand washing facilities are in working condition with proper sanitation in place. All storage containers for solid waste and in good repair and have proper tight-fitted lid on top. Play yard is free of hazards. All of the play structures are steady, in good repair and free of any loose parts. There is sufficient amount of soft cushioning under the play structures to prevent any fall injuries. LPA observed that there is a variety of age appropriate toys, books and other learning material available in the classroom. Electric outlets have been secured with child protective covers.
All posting requirements are met and posted near the door and in the classroom. Multiple staff have valid CPR and First Aid card on file. LPA reviewed facility records including 6 random children's and all present staff's files. LPA observed that files have records of names, addresses and telephone numbers of each child's authorized representative. LPA encouraged the facility to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates.

>No deficiencies were cited today under Title 22 Division 12 of the California Code of Regulations.
