32 | At 1:43pm on October 1, 2019 LPA inspected the Grasshoppers, Butterflies, Fireflies and Dragon Files classrooms. Classrooms are maintained clean and organized and are equipped with age appropriate toys for the children. Classrooms are equipped with children's restrooms with adequate supplies. Each classroom has cubbies for the children's things and an art station with nontoxic paint. Water bottles in the classrooms are properly labeled. Classrooms have a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fully charged fire extinguisher (3A40BC) located in the hallway.
At 2:50pm on October 1, 2019 LPA reviewed children’s files, personnel files and facility roster. All staff has required pesticide training. Staff CPR/ 1st aid certification is current expiring: 9/2020. Emergency drills are done monthly, with the last drill conducted on, August 28, 2019, properly logged. LPA Gomez observed menu and all required licensing information is properly posted in facility lobby. Director stated program provides daily snack for the children.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a child care facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662.
Based on today's inspection, no deficiencies were observed in the areas evaluated according to the Title 22 Division 12 Ca. Code of Regulations. Exit interview was conducted with Barbara Price, and her signature of this form acknowledges receipt of these documents.
