32 | Licensee was aware that she is required to conduct and log a fire and emergency drill once every six months. License confirmed that she will continue to do so. Licensee has a current and valid First Aid and CPR card expiring in December 2022. Licensee has also completed her mandatory child abuse training on 3/13/21.This training is valid for two years. Licensee was reminded of NO walkers, exersaucers, jumpers, bouncers and any similar items to be used for children in care and shall be made inaccessible. Licensee was reminded about the Provider Information Notices (PINs) on the CCLD website. During the inspection, LPA provided information and assistance about issues related to COVID-19. Licensee was reminded to clean and disinfect childcare areas thoroughly at least once a day. LPA observed that posters were posted for COVID-19 symptoms, social distancing, mask requirement and visitors’ policy by the front door. A thermometer, sanitizers, gloves and tissues supplies were observed to be available in the home.
LPA reminded Licensee that all adults, 18 years and older living in the home, helper, or assistant must have finger print clearance and must be associated to the facility by submitting an LIC 9182 with a copy of CDL or CA. ID prior to having any contact with children in care failure to do so could result in an immediate civil penalty. LPA reminded Licensee that as of September 1, 2016, a person may not be employed or volunteer at a childcare facility unless he or she has been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles or qualifies for an exemption pursuant to Health and Safety code 1596.7995 and 1597.662. LPA reminded Licensee, as of January 1, 2018, all staff is required to complete Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training (AB1207) every two years. The training can be obtained online at www.mandatedreporterca.com. LPA encouraged Licensee to frequently visit our website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations and new updates. Licensee can also email at childcareadvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov and ask to be added to the email list for the updates.
This report was discussed and explained to Applicant. Records to be maintained in the facility were discussed and a copy of Form 311D was emailed to Licensee. Mandatory Posting Requirements: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Notification of Parent's Rights Poster. Capacity limits of a Large Family Child Care license has been discussed. A handout explaining capacity and ratio limits for a large family child care home was emailed to Licensee along with this report. Department has received fire clearance from San Rafael Fire Department.
Large Family Child Care Home is approved and will be effective as of today, 4/14/21.
