32 | Parents will provide the bedding and blankets and will be taken home at the end of the week - Friday to get washed. The preschool area has a total of 2 toilets and 3 sinks/hand washing fixtures which will accommodate the newly requested capacity of 19 preschool children. Licensee understands that since the bathrooms are outside the classroom, staff are required to take the children to and from the bathroom. Lori stated that she has talked to her staff and are informed that they will need to have visual supervision of children at all times and children are not allowed to be inside the bathroom alone. Lori stated that children will use their own personalized water bottles which Lori is providing. Lori stated that they will use a water dispenser to refill the water bottles so children can have water readily available to them inside the classroom and out in the play yard. Lori stated that she currently does not have the water dispenser since she is going to contract with alhambra but LPA observed plenty of water bottles in the fridge.
The approximate outside square footage for the preschool area is 5,941 square feet which will accommodate the newly requested capacity of 19 Preschool Children. The play area is fenced all around. LPA observed a plastic play structure, wood chips to cushion, fall zones, and other age appropriate toys. LPA observed mature trees that provide shade in the playground. Lori stated that they will use a canopy to provide additional shade. Lori understands that the canopy will need to be anchored to the ground. Lastly, LPA reminded Lori to provide adequate supervision of the children at all times.
A fire clearance has not been received by the Mariposa County Fire Department but Lori provided proof that the Inspection was completed on 2/23/2021. An Amended fire clearance will need to be sent out to the fire department to make sure the center is cleared to care for 19 preschool children.
