32 | Each person interviewed spoke about children washing their hands before and after meals, cleaning table and chairs with Clorox wipes, putting mouthed toys in a “dirty” basket to be washed later, wearing gloves while changing diapers, sanitizing the diaper changing mat, and mopping the floor with a Swiffer mop. Additionally, each person interviewed mentioned a staff person that comes after operating hours to deep clean the classroom, bathroom and toys. Staff interviewed stated that children’s individual water cups are washed daily, left to dry over night and refilled with water from the kitchen sink. Staff interviews corroborate that staff have a clear understanding of how the facility is cleaned and sanitized and of their role and the role of others in maintaining a clean and sanitary facility. During a subsequent unannounced visit to the facility, unrelated to this complaint on 04/19/23, LPA observed the classrooms to be in clean and sanitary condition. Staff was observed helping children to wash their hands after lunch prior to nap and another staff was observed wiping down the lunch table and sweeping the floor.
Based on observations and interviews conducted, although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation occurred, therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
