25 | On 01/17/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced annual required inspection and was met by Licensee, Maria Rodriguez also present was her assistant. LPA explained the reason for the visit. LPA Fierro confirmed days and hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 05:30 p.m. The home has a working telephone service and LPA Fierro confirmed the phone number is (209) 777-3274. All adults who reside or work in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. There are no excluded individuals present at this home.
LPA Fierro conducted a census, during today’s visit there were eight (8) children present, capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. A current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room and bedroom 1 are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door spinners. LPA Fierro toured the home inside and outside.
This is a single-story home; LPA observed a fireplace in the living room, fireplace is made inaccessible by glass doors. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. LPA observed licensee test the smoke detector and carbon monoxide. Licensee understands to test both smoke detector and carbon monoxide periodically for functionality.
There are no pets, firearms, ammunition, or swimming pools on the premises. Licensee stated that all poisons are kept in the underneath the sink locked. LPA did not observe any poisons during the inspection, detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
LPA Fierro observed all toys, play equipment, materials and surfaces accessible to children are clean and in serviceable condition. LPA Fierro observed the outdoor play area in the backyard is fence, LPA observed play structures to be in working conditions and all toys were in serviceable condition. Per licensee the outdoor play area is off limits due to weather conditions.
