25 | On 01/15/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yesenia Fierro conducted a Case Management inspection that was initiated by licensee. LPA met with Program Preschool Coordinator, Sandra Lee. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and outside. The purpose for the inspection was to inspect the newly added outdoor playground.
During today’s inspection LPA observed the playground consisted of a tree house play structure that includes two (2) slides, climbing wall, one (1) horizontal log, and plastic rock steps. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA received the manufacturer documentation that verifies that the newly added play structure is suitable for the ages of 2-5 years of age. The play structure was professionally installed and is properly anchored into the ground. LPA observed adequate cushioning in the form of rubber pour throughout the entire playground. LPA observed two (2) shade structures, structures have paddling around all metal post.
LPA advised for the staff to conduct frequent safety inspections of the play structure to check for any loose parts, cracks, and hazards. Staff understands that children must be always supervised while using the play structure. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
Program Preschool Coordinator, Sandra Lee has the user’s manual and will ensure that the manufacturer’s instructions are followed. Community Care Licensing has obtained a new outdoor facility sketch, playground is ready for the use as of the date of this report (1/15/2025).
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Program Preschool Coordinator, Sandra Lee was provided a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
