25 | On July 27, 2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Priscilla Zamudio and Miguel Herrera conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by licensee Cynthia Zarate. Also present was licensee’s husband. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 5:00am-4:45PM.
LPAs toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPAs reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the living room, kitchen, room #4, den and hall bathroom are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by, door knob spinners. There is a covered, locked spa on the premises that meets regulation standards.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the den room and is made inaccessible by a screen and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher in the kitchen. There is a functioning smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector located in the hallway. There is adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort of the children.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs, however, there is a safety gate in the den for step. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (209) 723-1918.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. There are four small dogs. Licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
