25 | On 04/03/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha De Haro, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by the Licensee, Maricela Castillo. Assistant #1 was also present. Licensee is Spanish speaking only. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 209-587-6404. Licensee’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 5 am to 7 pm.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed and Licensee confirmed that living room #1, living room #2, downstairs bedroom, kitchen, hall bathroom, and back yard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by door knob spinners and baby gates. This is a two-story home and stairs are inaccessible by use of a baby gate. The outdoor play area is located in the back yard. It is fenced and no hazards to children were present. Licensee stated that there is no swimming pool, which LPA confirmed via observation. LPA observed a fountain in the front yard, which did not have any water. Licensee agreed to add rocks to the bottom of the fountain if she plans to begin adding water to it. Licensee confirmed that there are no firearms or ammunition in the home. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is no fire place or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. There are no pets in the home.
