1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Collins conducted a site inspection of the facility today and met with facility representative Ronda Griffith-Harman: LPA explained to her the purpose of the visit and inspected the facility inside and out. The inspection is in response to facility’s request for an increase in the Preschool License maximum capacity from 18 to 35; It should be noted facility has the capacity of 18 due to the waiver granted during the initial licensing (waiver on file. The Preschool operates Monday through Friday from 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A Fire Clearance has been granted on 09/14/21 for the Preschool to have a capacity of 38. The facility did not construct additional space but did add 2 additional sinks in classroom A. they are adding the full portable - Class room B and square footage to the license. Also, facility has an adequate number of toilets, sinks and supplies for 35 Preschool Children. Measurements were observed to ensure at least 35 square feet of indoor activity space and 75 square feet of outdoor activity space per child based on the total licensed capacity. TOTAL INDOOR SPACE (per report 10/26/2017) (Square footage) – (Encumbered Square Footage) = Total Square Footage Portable Room A:1 (23.083 + 27.583= 636.698) + (4.750 X 3.833 = 18.206) = 654.904 sq. ft minus ( encumbered space) 44.705 = 610.199 sq. ft. Portable Room B:2 (22.83 sq. ft.) + (28.25 sq. ft.) – (14.55 sq. ft) = 630.40 sq. ft. *Total Indoor Activity Space = 1,240.599 divided by 35 = 35 Children* There are 4 toilets (60) and 6 sinks (90) for children to utilize and a separate sink/toilet for the staff.

Total outdoor sq. ft. = 4,357.00 sq. ft. divided by 75 = 58 children

No weapons are stored at the Center per representative. Fully functioning fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detectors. Cleaning supplies were observed stored inaccessible to the children. Medications are stored in a locked box and labeled with the child's name and date. Furniture and equipment appear in good condition. Children's toilets and sinks appear in operating condition. There is a small kitchen Prep area with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and warming oven. Snacks and meals are delivered from the main kitchen daily. Menu is posted. LPA observed variety of age-appropriate equipment, toys and materials in good condition and in sufficient quantity to allow children present to fully participate in planned activities.

LPA observed childcare center was cleans, safe and sanitary and in good repair during inspection. LPA observed all containers used for storage or solid wastes, including moveable bins, have tightfitting covers and in good repair; leak proof and rodent proof. drinking water is readily available from non contaminating fixture or containers readily available both indoors and in the outdoor activity area.

LPA observed a fully fenced play area. No bodies of waters were observed on the Child Care Center property. LPA observed play equipment and materials used by children was age appropriate. Artificial grass is used for cushioning under the climbing structure to absorb falls.

All staff have clearances through the Monterey County Office of Education. At least one staff member has a current pediatric 1st aid/CPR that expires (08/7/23) . Children were supervised during the visit. Teacher/child ratio was met during the visit.

Facility representative Rhonda G. Harmon was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

The increase incapacity will be approved pending Management's Final Review and Approval.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
