25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fermin Campos-Jaramillo conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the home today. LPA met with Maria Marcial, Licensee's helper, and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. Maria stated that Licensee Daisy was not home today. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Sunday from 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The Adults that reside in the home are the Licensee Daisy, and her husband Oscar. Also in the home reside Daisy's minor children ages 12 and 10 year old. LPA spoke to licensee Daisy over the phone. Daisy stated that her mother and co-licensee Marisela is not longer interested in the Family Child Care License. LPA provided Maria with a blank for LIC279 for Daisy to submit the updated information. There were five preschool children in care during today's inspection. Licensee Daisy and helper Maria's certifications for CPR and First Aid cards are current and will expire on 2/10/2020 and 10/29/2019 respectively.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. LPA obtained a copy of the Child Care Facility Roster during today's inspection. Licensee has documented a fire drill during the last six months. Last fire drill was documented on 8/01/2019.
The Licensee has a working telephone in the home. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children. Off limit areas inside are: Two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, and the attached garage accessible from the kitchen. LPA observed there are not stairs in the home. The home has a fireplace and it is barricaded. Off limits areas outside: The left side yard and a portion of the back yard. LPA observed the back yard is fenced. Licensee uses the back yard as playground.
LPA observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher and working carbon monoxide/smoke detector. LPA observed there are not bodies of water or wall heaters. Maria stated that Licensee does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other similar items are stored inaccessible to children.
LPA observed in file proof of immunization for measles, pertussis and influenza for Licensee Daisy and for her helper Maria.
