1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dung Mac conducted an announced case-management tele-inspection via video conference call (FaceTime) with Site Director, Krista Chawinga. Facility submitted the application to the Department on July 17, 2020. A fire safety inspection request approval was received from the Monterey Fire Department on September 2, 2020. The tele-inspection is in response to facility’s request to increase the capacity from 24 to 36 by adding Room 1122 to their existing Preschool license. Room 1113 is currently licensed for the Preschool Program serving children ages 2.9 to entry into kindergarten. During today’s video conference call, the measurements of Room 1122 was taken by Site Director, Krista Chawinga as LPA observed the measuring process and provided direction via FaceTime (video call). LPA observed Room 1113 and outdoor area over the video call. Director states that the layout of Room 1113 has not been altered since last measurement was done by LPA Walton on 8/28/2008. Indoor Activity Space: Added Room 1122: (16.417 x 41.000 sq. ft. = 673.97) – (69.163 sq. ft. encumbered space) = 604.807 sq. ft. Room 1113 = (1,140.84 sq. ft) - (95.76 sq. ft) = 1,045.080 sq. ft *Total Indoor Activity Space: (1,649.887 sq. ft) divided by (35 sq. ft. / child) =* *47 children*

There are 5 toilets (75) and 7 sinks (105) available for children to use. Only cold water is available in the children sinks. Children's bathrooms have dispenser soap and disposal towels. Staff bathroom is located at the end of the hall. Ill child(ren) will be isolated in Director's Office and there is a cot for an ill child to rest on in the office area. Ill children will use the handicap sink and toilet.

This is a half day program, so there is no nap equipment. First Aid supplies and cleaning products are stored in locked cabinets. Drinking water is readily available for indoor/outdoor via pitchers and cups.

Site Director states that the outdoor layout of the facility has not been altered since it was last measured by LPA Walton on 8/28/2020.

Total Outdoor Activity Space:
(3, 993.55 sq. ft.) divided by (75 sq. ft. / child) = 53 Children

Playground is enclosed by appropriate fencing. Shades are provided by building overhang and trees. Wood shavings are used for cushioning material under the play structure. Playground also has grass and a cement area to ride bikes. LPA did not observe any bodies of water.

LPA advised Site Director that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and "Shelter In Place" Order, the Evaluation Report will be emailed to her (email: krista@shorelinepreschool.org) with "Read Receipt" notification. Licensee understands that her reply to the email will serve as acknowledgement that the report was received.

LPA conducted an exit interview. Site Director was informed that Facility’s request will be submitted to Licensing Management for the final stage of approval.
