25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth Larios met with Diana Rincon, Licensee, for an unannounced Required – 1 year annual inspection. LPA was granted access to the home by the Assistant Lluvia Martinez & Licensee LPA also observed seven children two of which were Licensee's children and Licensee's Assistant, Lluvia Martniez in the home during today's inspection. Licensee was operating within her capacity and ratio requirements. LPA observed the required postings, including the facility license, near the front entrance to the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The adults residing in the home are: Licensee, Licensee's spouse Jose Machuca, and Miguel Vargas.
LPA reviewed a current Child Care Facility Roster and Fire/Disaster drill log during today's inspection. The last fire/disaster drill was completed on April 4, 2022. Licensee states that she does have liability insurance for the day care. Licensee has current CPR and First Aid certifications (expiration: 02/22/2023). Licensee has the required vaccines (MMR, Tdap, & flu) and is current with her Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Workers (expiration: 12/18/2022). Licensee's adult assistant has current CPR and First Aid certifications (expiration: 02/22/2023).Licensee's adult assistant also has the required vaccines (MMR, Tdap, & flu) and is current with his Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Workers (expiration: 06/20/2023). LPA reviewed seven children's files and the files were complete with the required forms. LPA reviewed two staff files and the files were complete with the required forms. Licensee states that a child will be isolated in room next to kitchen area if necessary due to illness or communicable disease.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. Licensee has a working telephone in the home. The home is clean, orderly, (including heating/air conditioning/ventilation), and safe for the day care children. There are safe & age appropriate toys, play equipment, and materials for the children in the home. There are no stairs inside the home. LPA observe a wall heater in the living room that is barricaded. Off limit areas inside the home: bedroom #1, barricaded fireplace unit (located in the living room area), all locked kitchen drawers and cabinets. Off limit area outside the home: front yard, laundry room, garage, and separated rear yard. The Licensee has constructed a permitted second home on the property with same address, and is off limits. |
