On 01/25/2023 at 10:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Susy Cervantes, met with supervisor, Ashley Reyes for a case management visit to measure classrooms 15 and 14. LPA toured the facility both inside and out as well as measured the indoor spaces only. A fire clearance for 244 children was received from the Seaside Fire Department prior to today's visit.

The following measurements were taken today:
ROOM 15 = 31.25 x 28.917 = 903.66 minus 61.39 (encumbered space) = 842.27
ROOM 14 = 31 x 29 = 899 minus 46.39 (encumbered space) = 852.61
TOTAL 14 & 15 PRESCHOOL INDOOR SPACE: 1694.88 sq. ft. divided by 35 = 48 children

On 12/20/2022, a case management visit was conducted and the following measurements were taken:
ROOM 5B main floor 30.833 x 27.167 = 837.64 minus 51.42 (encumbered space) = 786.22
ROOM 5B exit area 11.917 x 11.5 = 137.05
TOTAL 5B PRESCHOOL INDOOR SPACE: 923.27 sq. ft.

On 06/27/2019, a case management visit was conducted and the following measurements were taken:
ROOM 5A = 41.219 x 23 = 948.037 minus 29.322 (encumbered space) = 918.715 sq. ft.

On 07/31/2017, a pre-licensing visit was conducted and the following indoor and outdoor measurements were recorded:
ROOM 1 = 31.417 x 29.000 = 911.093 minus 32.279 (encumbered space) = 878.814

used by the sick child. The sick child will be isolated in the nurse's office and isolation equipment is provided. LPA observed no fireplaces or wall heaters at the facility. The rooms have appropriate lighting. The center will be administering medication and the medication lock box is located in each classroom. First aid supplies are stored in each room and the administrative office, are adequate and are inaccessible to children. Carbon monoxide detectors are operable. There is a 3A40BC fire extinguisher in rooms 14 and 15 that were serviced on 07/21/2022. Cleaning supplies are stored inaccessible to the children. The center will be providing snacks and food for the children, snack and meals will be prepared in the main kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and sink with hot and cold running water. Plastic dishes and cups will be utilized for the children and will be hand washed. LPA observed solid waste container with tight-fitting lid in the kitchen.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Staff have clearances through the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District.

LPA had previously conducted an increase of capacity on 12/20/2022, LIC 311A was not reviewed again.
